MONTEVERDE FRIENDS U.S. (MFUS) IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION THAT WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1999 TO MAKE GRANTS FOR SOCIAL, CULTURAL, EDUCATIONAL, AND OTHER CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS LOCATED IN THE MONTEVERDE COMMUNITY AND ELSEWHERE IN THE WORLD. MORE SPECIFICALLY, THE PURPOSES OF MFUS ARE: 1. TO PROMOTE THE SPIRITUAL, SOCIAL, CULTURAL MORAL AND EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE MEMBERS OF THE MONTEVERDE MONTHLY MEETING OF THE RELIGIOUS SOCIETY OF FRIENDS AS WELL AS THE INHABITANTS OF THE SURROUNDING AREA. 2.
