PROGRAMMING: THE STATION PROVIDED LOCAL AND NATIONAL NEWS AND BROADCASTS PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR LOCAL NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. THE STATION PRODUCED FIVE LOCALLY FOCUSED FEATURE PROGRAMS INCLUDING "THE VINEYARD CURRENT", A WEEKLY NEWS SHOW THAT HAS WON A MASSACHUSETTS BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION AWARD FOR 6 STRAIGHT YEARS. THROUGH OUR LOCALLY PRODUCED PROGRAMS, HUNDREDS OF LOCAL INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS ARE GIVEN A VOICE ON THE AIR.IN 2021, "THE CAPE COD CURRENT" WHICH EXPLORES ISSUES AND PEOPLE OF CAPE COD, EXPANDED FROM A MONTHLY PROGRAM TO A WEEKLY PROGRAM.THE STATION HELD ITS FIRST FORUM SERIES, CALLED "LET'S DO BETTER: A RACIAL EQUITY CONVERSATION SERIES" WHICH DISCUSSED RACISM AND ITS EFFECTS. FOR EARTH DAY, WE RAN A SERIES OF "EARTH MEDITATIONS" VOICED BY CAROLE VANDAL, A SCIENTEST AND MEMBER OF THE LOCAL AQUINNAH WAMPANOAG TRIBE. IN 2021, WE ALSO CONTINUED TO UPDATE OUR LONG-RUNNING BLACK HISTORY MONTH FEATURES. WE PARTICIPATED IN COLLABORATION WITH LOCAL NONPROFITS THE YARD AND FEATHERSTONE CENTER FOR THE ARTS IN THEIR PRIDE DANCE, AIRING DANCE MUSIC FOR LISTENERS WHO COULDN'T GO TO THE IN-PERSON EVENT DUE TO COVID-19.
