CITIZENSHIP/IMMIGRATION: THE ORGANIZATION IS ACCREDITED BY THE BOARD OF IMMIGRATION APPEALS OF THE US DEPARMENT OF JUSTICE TO PROVIDE THESE, AMONG OTHER, SERVICES: ELIGIBILTY CONSULTATION FOR IMMIGRATION BENEFITS, N-400 NATURALIZTION APPLICATION, GREEN CARD RENEWAL, FAMILY PETITONS, AND ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS. THESE SERVICES ARE ABLE TO BE PROVIDED AT NOMINAL FEES DUE TO THE GENEROSITY OF LEGAL PROFESSIONALS WHO DONATE THEIR SERVICES. ADDITIONALLY, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES ENGLISH AND CITIZENSHIP CLASSES TO PREPARE INDIVIDUALS FOR THE U.S. NATURALIZATION TEST.
VICTIM SUPPORT (VOCA & VAWA|): THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING SERVICES FREE OF CHARGE TO VICTIMS OF CRIME AND DOMESTIC VOILANCE: ONE ON ONE COUNSELING, GROUP CONSELING, EDUCATION ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, PLANNING SAFETY MEASURES, AND SHELTER INFORMATION.
HOMELESS PREVENTION: THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE TO QUALIFIED INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE IN DANGER OF BECOMING HOMELESS. SUCH ASSISTANCE IS ONLY AVAILABLE ONCE A YEAR TO INDIVIDUALS AND INCLUDES HELP WITH RENT, SECURITY DEPOSITS, MORTGAGE PAYMENTS, AND HOTEL VOUCHERS IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS. INDIVIDUALS MUST PROVIDE INCOME VERIFICATION (PAY STUBS, WRITTEN EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION, ETC.) TO PROVE THAT THEY WILL BE ABLE TO PAY THEIR RENT OR MORTGAGE AFTER OUR ASSISTANCE IS GRANTED.
