THE SERV FOUNDATION RAISES FUNDS TO PROVIDE INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS FOR INDIVIDUALS IN THE SERV BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SYSTEM'S FAMILY OF COMPANIES WHO STRUGGLE WITH DEBILITATING MENTAL ILLNESSES OR DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. BY CREATING PARTNERSHIPS WITH INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS, THE FOUNDATION DEVELOPS AWARENESS IN THE COMMUNITY AND PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR EXCEPTIONAL PROGRAMS BENEFITING OUR CONSUMERS, THEIR FAMILIES AND THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE.THE SERV FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP FUND WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2004 TO PROVIDE TUITION AID TO SERV'S ADULT CONSUMERS WHO WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATIONAL GOALS BUT HAVE EXHAUSTED ALL SOURCES OF FINANCIAL AID. THE ANNUAL WELLNESS & DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE WAS INITIATED BY THE SERV FOUNDATION IN 2002 TO SUPPORT SERV CONSUMERS AS THEY WORK TOWARD THEIR GOAL OF OVERALL WELLNESS. THE FOUNDATION DID NOT HOLD THE WELLNESS AND DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE IN 2021 DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. HOWEVER, THEY DID SPONSOR A VIRTUAL WELLNESS EVENT FOR SERV CONSUMERS AND STAFF TITLED "SELF-CARE IN THE PANDEMIC", FEATURING MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER ANTHONY MCLEAN. DURING HIS PRESENTATION, MCLEAN DISCUSSED HOW TO COPE WITH STRESS AND ANXIETY AND TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF DURING THE PANDEMIC.
