THE ASSOCIATION HELD ITS 32ND ANNUAL MEETING ON AUGUST 4-5 2022 AT COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY. APPROXIMATELY 204 PEOPLE ATTENDED AND 135 PAPERS WERE PRESENTED ON VARIOUS ISSUES RELATED TO LAW AND ECONOMICS
THE ASSOCIATION PUBLISHES AN ACADEMIC JOURNAL CALLED THE "AMERICAN LAW AND ECONOMICS REVIEW" KNOWN AS THE "ALER". THE ASSOCIATION TYPICALLY PUBLISHES TWO ISSUES A YEAR: SPRING AND FALL. THE ALER IS PROVIDED TO OUR MEMBERS AS PART OF THEIR YEARLY MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS. THE PUBLISHER OF THE ALER IS OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS AND WE PUBLISH ACADEMIC ARTICLES SUBMITTED BY OUR MEMBERS. WE ALSO AWARD A PRIZE IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,500 EACH FOR THE BEST THEORETICAL AND THE BEST EMPIRICAL ARTICLE PUBLISHED IN THE PRECEDING YEAR.
