THE JEWISH WOMEN'S ARCHIVE IS A NATIONAL ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO COLLECTING AND PROMOTING THE EXTRAORDINARY STORIES OF JEWISH WOMEN. JWA EXPLORES THE PAST AS A FRAMEWORK FOR UNDERSTANDING THE ISSUES IMPORTANT TO WOMEN TODAY; INSPIRES YOUNG PEOPLE WITH REMARKABLE ROLE MODELS; AND USES JEWISH WOMEN'S STORIES TO EXCITE PEOPLE TO SEE THEMSELVES AS AGENTS OFCHANGE.

JWA'S VIRTUAL PROGRAMS - BOOK TALKS, FILM CLUB, AND HISTORY COURSES - ENGAGE A GLOBAL COMMUNITY OF THOUSANDS IN MEANINGFUL LEARNING AND CONVERSATIONS WITH WRITERS, ARTISTS, AND SCHOLARS. PARTICIPANTS IN JWA'S COMMUNITYONLINE, IN PERSON, AND THROUGH OUR SOCIAL MEDIA AND PODCAST TESTIFY TO THE WAYS JWA'S DEEP AND THOUGHTFUL CONTENT HAS TRANSFORMED THEIR PERSPECTIVES ON THE WORLD AND THEIR PLACE IN IT. JWA'S RISING VOICES FELLOWSHIP, NOW IN ITS 11TH YEAR AS A NATIONAL PROGRAM, PROVIDES TRAINING AND MENTORSHIP TO A SELECT, NATIONAL COHORT OF FEMALE-IDENTIFIED AND NON-BINARY TEENS WHO LEARN LEADERSHIP SKILLS THROUGH IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL RETREATS AND MONTHLY DISCUSSIONS ON FEMINISM, JUDAISM, AND SOCIAL JUSTICE. JWA CONTINUES TO OFFER SUPPORT TO THE ACTIVE ALUMNAE COMMUNITY OF MORE THAN 160 GRADUATES, WHO ARE TAKING ON ISSUES SUCH AS SEXUAL CONSENT IN JEWISH YOUTH GROUPS, CLIMATE CHANGE, AND ANTISEMITISM WITH BOLDNESS AND CLARITY, EXEMPLIFYING THE IMPACT OF JWA'S TRAINING. JWA RECENTLY LAUNCHED THE NICKI NEWMAN TANNER ORAL HISTORY COLLECTION, MAKING MORE THAN 300 ORAL HISTORIES WE HAD COLLECTED OVER THE PAST 25 YEARS ACCESSIBLE AND SEARCHABLE ON OUR SITE. THESE INTERVIEWS ILLUSTRATE HOW WOMEN HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO AND NAVIGATED THE MAJOR EVENTS AND MOVEMENTS OF THE 20TH AND 21ST CENTURIES, BUILDING COMMUNITY, INSTITUTIONS, FAMILIES, AND SOCIAL CHANGE ALONG THE WAY.
