DANCEFUSION, INC. IS A MODERN DANCE REPERTORY COMPANY DEDICATED TO BOTH THE RECONSTRUCTION OF HISTORIC WORKS FROM AMERICA'S RICH RECORD OF MODERN DANCE AND CREATING INNOVATIVE WORKS BY EXPLORING NEW CHOREOGRAPHIC DIRECTIONS FOR THE FUTURE. WE PROVIDE DANCE TRAINING THROUGH PROGRAMS AT THE GWENDOLYN BYE DANCE CENTER, EDUCATIONAL RESIDENCIES FOR THE COMMUNITY, AND NURTURE FUSION2, OUR TRAINING COMPANY FOR YOUNG DANCERS. DANCEFUSION AIMS TO EXPAND AWARENESS AND APPRECIATION OF MODERN DANCE BY PRESENTING OUR PROGRAMS AND PERFORMANCES TO DIVERSE AUDIENCES.

GWENDOLYN BYE DANCE CENTER-INCLUSIVE AND DIVERSE PROGRAM DEDICATED TO SUPERIOR TRAINING THROUGH DANCE CLASSES AND PERFORMANCES THROUGHOUT GREATER PHILADELPHIA. APPROXIMATELY 65 STUDENTS ATTENDED ONE OR SEVERAL OF THE 21 CLASSES OFFERED EACH WEEK FROM BEGINNER TO PROFESSIONAL IN BALLET, MODERN, JAZZ, TAP, HIP-HOP, AFRICAN DANCE, AND MUSICAL THEATER. THE SCHOOL OFFERS SCHOLARSHIPS TO TALENTED CHILDREN WHO WOULD NOT NORMALLY HAVE THE RESOURCES TO AFFORD DANCE TRAINING. A TOTAL OF 25 VOLUNTEER HOURS OF LEGAL SERVICES, AND STRATEGIC BUSINESS PLANNING WERE DONATED BY A LAW FIRM, AND AN INDIVIDUAL RESPECTIVELY.
DANCEFUSION IS CELEBRATING 35 YEARS OF PRESENTING, EDUCATING, AND PRESERVING AMERICAN MODERN DANCE.TWELVE HISTORIC WORKS BY LEGENDARY CHOREOGRAPHERS HAVE BEEN RECONSTRUCTED. THIRTY ONE NEW WORKS HAVE BEEN CREATED BY COMPANY MEMBERS AND GUEST CHOREOGRAPHERS. EDUCATIONAL RESIDENCIES AND PERFORMANCES HAVE BEEN PRESENTED TO OVER 25000 SCHOOL CHILDREN IN OVER 50 SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT GREATER PHILADELPHIA. FUSION2-A TRAINING GROUND FOR YOUNG DANCERS, HAS PROVIDED 26 YEARS OF TRAINING, PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES, AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH. THE COMPANY PERFORMED AT SPRING AND HOLIDAY RECITALS.
