RESTORE PROGRAM - SINCE 2009 MCHH HAS OPERATED A RESTORE PROGRAM, A RETAIL OPERATION THAT ACCEPTS NEW AND GENTLY USED ITEMS TO BE RESOLD TO THE PUBLIC. BY SELLING TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, THIS PROGRAM OFFERS A RECYCLING OPPORTUNITY FOR HOME GOODS, APPLIANCES AND FURNITURE AS WELL AS DISCOUNTED BUILDING MATERIALS KEEPING TONS OF MATERIALS FROM LANDFILLS. THE NET PROCEEDS FROM THE PROGRAM SUPPORT THE MISSION OF BUILDING AFFORDABLE HOMES IN CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ.
AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAM - MCHH ASSISTS INDIVIDUALS IN OBTAINING AFFORDABLE HOUSING. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FAMILIES IN NEED TO BUILD HOUSES AND DEVELOP COMMUNITIES. ELIGIBLE FAMILIES ARE REQUIRED TO CONTRIBUTE THEIR TIME "SWEAT EQUITY" AS WELL AS ATTEND HOME OWNERSHIP TRAINING AND MENTORSHIP PROGRAMS. DURING THE YEAR MCHH WAS IN THE PROCESS OF RENOVATING A NUMBER OF HOMES FOR SUBSEQUENT SALE.
