OUTREACH PROGRAMS: IN 2021, WE DISTRIBUTED APPROXIMATELY 350K FREE BOOKS TO CLASSROOMS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY AND SENT SPEAKERS OVER VIDEO CHAT TO DOZENS OF CLASSROOMS TO ENGAGE STUDENTS DIRECTLY. WE HOSTED WEEKLY WEBINARS WITH OUR INTELLECTUAL TEAM CHOOSING TOPICS OF RELEVANCE TO MODERN TIMES AND THE WORKS OF AYN RAND. OUR BOOKS FOR TEACHERS PROGRAM INTRODUCED EBOOKS DISTRIBUTED THROUGH GOOGLE PLAY, SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASING THE REACH OF OUR EBOOK PROGRAM. WE POSTED 208 NEW VIDEOS TO OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL, WHICH GREW TO ALMOST 77K SUBSCRIBERS. AMONG THE MANY NEW VIDEOS WERE NUMEROUS LECTURES FROM COURSES RANGING FROM HISTORY AND PHILOSOPHY TO ART AND CULTURAL ISSUES. OUR CHANNEL RECEIVED OVER 2.3 MILLION VIEWS TOTAL THIS YEAR, WITH THE MIKE WALLACE INTERVIEW OF AYN RAND RECEIVING 625K VIEWS. TWO MAJOR CONFERENCES WERE HELD: ARC-USA IN NOV 20 AND ARC GLOBAL IN MAR 21. NEW IDEAL PUBLISHED 148 ARTICLES AND PODCASTS IN FY21, APPLYING OBJECTIVISM TO EXPLAIN MAJOR ISSUES IN THE CULTURE.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: THE ARI CAMPUS/THE AYN RAND UNIVERSITY COURSE VIDEOS WAS VIEWED OVER 168K TIMES. A DOZEN NEW COURSES WERE ADDED TO THE GROWING CATALOG OF ON-DEMAND CONTENT IN FY21. WE TAUGHT 9 COLLEGE-LEVEL COURSES TOTALING 276 COURSE HOURS TO 170 UNIQUE PARTICIPANTS. OUR ANNUAL ESSAY CONTEST SUBMISSION TOTALED APPROXIMATELY 4,800.
OTHER: DURING FY21, THE AYN RAND ARCHIVES MADE LARGE STRIDES TOWARD IMPLEMENTING A NEW COLLECTION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, A DATABASE THAT WILL TRACK THE HOLDINGS OF THE ARCHIVES, INCLUDING ALL DIGITIZED MATERIAL. AS OF 2022, THE LETTERS OF AYN RAND ONLINE EXHIBIT MAKES ALMOST 600 LETTERS THAT AYN RAND WROTE DURING HER LIFETIME AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC. FURTHER DIGITIZED MATERIAL WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC IN THE FUTURE. THE ARI ESTORE (ESTORE.AYNRAND.COM) CONTINUED TO PUBLISH AND SELL HUNDREDS OF DOWNLOADABLE RECORDINGS ON OBJECTIVISM AND RELATED TOPICS.
