LAND ACQUISITION PROGRAMACQUIRE LAND FOR OPEN SPACE PRESERVATION, BOTH INDEPENDENTLY AND IN PARTNERSHIP WITH GOVERNMENT AGENCIES. LAND IS ACQUIRED TO EXPAND CONSERVANCY PRESERVES, FEDERAL, STATE, COUNTY AND LOCAL PARKLAND AND TO PROTECT WATERSHEDS, RIVER CORRIDORS, ECOLOGICALLY SIGNIFICANT WETLAND AREA AND HABITATS, AND RETAIN AGRICULTURAL LANDS.THE LAND CONSERVANCY COMPLETED 11 PROJECTS IN THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2022, 166.10 ACRES IN FEE ACQUISITIONS AND PRESERVING 223.14 ACRES IN FARMLAND PRESERVATION EASEMENTS.


PARTNERS FOR PARKSLAND STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM WHICH WORKS TO MAINTAIN PRESERVED LAND IN PERPETUITY BY ORGANIZING AND DIRECTING CUSTOMIZED COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS FOR CORPORATE AND CIVIC VOLUNTEER GROUPS TO IMPROVE AND MAINTAIN RECREATIONAL AREAS WHILE BUILDING A CORPS OF ADVOCATES FOR PARKS.
