THE ADVANCEMENT, ENCOURAGEMENT, AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE ATHLETIC TRAINING PROFESSION IN ALL OF ITS ASPECTS; TO ENCOURAGE IMPROVED WORKING RELATIONSHIPS AMONG ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN, AND WORKING WITH, THE PROBLEMS THAT ARE INHERENT IN THE CARE FOR THE HEALTH AND WELL BEING OF THE PHYSICALLY ACTIVE INDIVIDUAL; TO ENCOURAGE THE CONTINUED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF EACH OF ITS MEMBERS; TO SERVE THE COMMON INTEREST OF ITS MEMBERS BY PROVIDING A MEANS OF FREE EXCHANGE OF IDEAS WITHIN THE PROFESSION.
