LOWER ENROLLMENT RATES AT COLLEGES FOR MINORITIES ARE DUE TO DIFFERENCES IN ACCESS TO FINANCIAL RESOURCES. HOUSEHOLD WEALTH IS VERY IMPORTANT WHEN IT COMES TO PAYING FOR COLLEGE SINCE FAMILIES TEND TO DRAW UPON THEIR WEALTH, TAKE OUT MORTGAGES, CASH IN STOCKS OR SEEK OTHER MEANS TO FINANCE THEIR CHILDS COLLEGE EDUCATION.
