THE NEW JERSEY ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS (NJAIS) IS A NON-PROFIT, VOLUNTARY MEMBERSHIP ASSOCIATION WHOSE MISSION IS TO FOSTER EDUCATIONAL, ETHICAL, AND PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE OF ITS MEMBER SCHOOLS WHILE SAFEGUARDING THEIR INDEPENDENCE.

NJAIS FULFILLS ITS MISSION BY:1. ADMINISTERING A COMPREHENSIVE STANDARDS-BASED ACCREDITATION PROGRAM THAT INSPIRES DEEP REFLECTION AND CONTINUOUS SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT.2. PROVIDING PURPOSEFUL AND RESPONSIVE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCES AND LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR TEACHERS, ADMINISTRATORS, STAFF, AND TRUSTEES.3. BUILDING COLLEGIAL RELATIONSHIPS, FACILITATING THE EXCHANGE OF IDEAS, AND FORECASTING CHANGES TO THE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL LANDSCAPE.4.
