AS OF DECEMBER 2021, OUR CREDIT PLUS PROGRAM HAS GIVEN OVER 30,562 MICRO-CREDIT LOANS. WE PROVIDED OVER 7,000 NEW LOANS IN 2021 TO 720 DIFFERENT BORROWING GROUPS, BASIC BUSINESS TRAINING AND OPPORTUNITIES TO PARTIPANTS IN DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS. TO DATE WE HAVE HAD NO LOAN DEFAULTS. AS THE BUSINESSES GROW, THE WOMEN HIRE MORE WORKERS AND PEOPLE FROM THEIR VILLAGES, CREATING MORE OPPORTUNITIES. A FOCUS ON WOMEN FARMERS HAS CREATED A A COMPLETE AND VIBRANT FOOD ECONOMY. SOME 2021 HIGHLIGHTS: PEER COUNSELING- ONGOING TRAINING AND SUPPORT FOR 75 WOMEN LEADERS; ACCESS TO JUSTICE FOR WOMEN- THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES RESOURCES AND SUPPORT IN THE JUSTICE SYSTEM. THERE ARE 22 TRAINED COUNSELORS WHO HELP WOMEN NAVIGATE IN 2000 CASES AND MAINTAIN A TOLL FREE NATIONWIDE ACCESS TO RESOURCES; GULU WOMEN'S RESOURCE CENTER HOSTED AN INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY CONFERENCE AT THE LOCAL RESOURCE CENTER. 200 PEOPLE ATTENDED AND ALL COMPLIED WITH COVID GUIDANCE AND REGULATIONS. 27 PARTICIPANTS FROM THE PROGRAM RAN FOR POLITICAL OFFICE WITH 21 PARTIES SUCCESSFULLY CONTESTING. THE HEALTHY PERIODS INITIATIVE DISTRIBUTED NEARLY 6.5M SANITARY PRODUCTS TO WOMEN AND SCHOOL GIRLS ACROSS THE REGION. THE AGRO LOAN PROGRAM PROVIDED OVER 1000 WOMEN WITH LOANS TO CREATE AND EXPAND SMALL AND MEDIUM SCALE FARM PROJECTS. THERE WERE OVER 570+WOMEN SERVING IN VARIOUS LEADERSHIP POSITIONS ACROSS THE REGION WHO HAD SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE TRAINING PROGRAM.
