JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT GIVES YOUNG PEOPLE THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS THEY NEED TO OWN THEIR ECONOMIC SUCCESS, PLAN FOR THEIR FUTURE AND MAKE SMART ACADEMIC AND ECONOMIC CHOICES. CORPORATE AND COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS DELIVER RELEVANT, HANDS-ON EXPERIENCES THAT GIVE STUDENTS FROM KINDERGARTEN THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN FINANCIAL LITERACY, WORK READINESS AND ENTERPRENEURSHIP. JA PROGRAMS EMPOWER STUDENTS TO MAKE A CONNECTION BETWEEN WHAT THEY LEARN IN SCHOOL AND HOW IT CAN BE APPLIED IN THE REAL WORLD - ENHANCING THE RELEVANCE OF THEIR CLASSROOM LEARNING AND INCREASING THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF THE VALUE OF STAYING IN SCHOOL. BY FOCUSING ON EDUCATION, ECONOMIC AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, JA PROGRAMS CONTRIBUTE TO THE VITALITY OF OUR COMMUNITY AND THE AVAILABILITY OF A WELL-EDUCATED WORKFORCE.


JA INSPIRE IS A CAREER EXPLORATION EXPERIENCE THAT BRINGS TOGETHER BUSINESSES IN THE COMMUNITY AND LOCAL STUDENTS TO INSPIRE YOUNG PEOPLE FOR LIFE BEYOND HIGH SCHOOL. THIS PROGRAM BEGAN IN 2019 AND HAS GROWN EACH YEAR, REACHING 5,477 STUDENTS DURING THE 2021/2022 SCHOOL YEAR. IT IS ON PACE TO SURPASS 7,500 STUDENTS DURING 2022/2023. THE PROGRAM INCLUDES A CLASSROOM CURRICULUM, A CAREER EXPLORATION FAIR AND CULMINATES WITH A STUDENT PERSONAL REFLECTION. THIS MULTI-FACETED PROGRAM ALIGNS WITH LOCAL INDUSTRY AND CAREER OPPORTUNITIES AS WELL AS THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA'S ACADEMIC STANDARDS SURROUNDING ICAP OR INDIVIDUALIZED CAREER ACADEMIC PLANNING. TOGETHER WITH OUR BUSINESS AND EDUCATIONAL PARTNERS, JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF OKLAHOMA IS WORKING TO ENSURE THAT THE YOUNG PEOPLE IN TODAY'S CLASSROOMS ARE PREPARED TO FILL THE WORKFORCE PIPELINE IN OUR STATE.
