TO BROADEN AND DEEPEN THE TIES BETWEEN JAPAN AND THE UNITED STATES THROUGH CULTURAL PROGRAMS.

IN THE CURRENT YEAR, NPO INFUSION CONTINUED ITS CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN AND ADULTS. KID'S CHALLENGE MARKS THE EIGHTH YEAR OF TEACHING HOW TO PLAY TSUZUMI, A HAND-HELD DRUM. THE STUDENTS ARE FROM THE FIRST TO FIFTH GRADES AT THREE PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN SAUSALITO AND SAN FRANCISCO. SINCE 2009 THE ORGANIZATION HAS SENT A LOCAL TEACHER TO JAPAN TO FURTHER CULTIVATE HIS SKILL AND HE HAS COME BACK TO TEACH THE CHILDREN EACH YEAR. THE SECOND PROGRAM IS THE UTAI-SHIMAI CLASSES OF TRADITIONAL NOH PLAY FOR ADULTS. THE ORGANIZATION AGAIN INVITED THE SAME NOH MASTER AS IT HAS EACH YEAR SINCE 2009.
