CONFERENCE - THE INTERNATIONAL PEDIATRIC FEEDING DISORDER CONFERENCE OFFERS EDUCATION FROM WORLD-RENOWNED FEEDING EXPERTS. PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE GROUNDBREAKING ACCESS TO THE LATEST DEVELOPMENTS AND RESEARCH IN THE EVALUATION AND TREATMENT OF CHILDREN WITH PEDIATRIC FEEDING DISORDER.


AWARENESS & OUTREACH - FACILITATING CHANGE AND ADVOCATING FOR PEDIATRIC FEEDING DISORDERS (PFD) TO BE A STAND-ALONE DIAGNOSIS WITH ITS OWN MEDICAL CODE FOR INSURANCE AND PROVIDING VALUABLE INFORMATION AND EDUCATION ABOUT FEEDING MATTERS AND PEDIATRIC FEEDING DISORDER TO THE HEALTHCARE COMMUNITY THROUGH THE RESOURCES ON OUR WEBSITE, PRESENTATIONS, TRAINING, EXHIBITOR BOOTH OPPORTUNITIES, AND NATIONAL GRASSROOTS OUTREACH EFFORTS.


ADVOCACY - IN COLLABORATION WITH RESPECTED CLINICIANS, RESEARCHERS, CAREGIVERS, EDUCATORS, HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS, AND MORE, FEEDING MATTERS AND THE PFD ALLIANCE FACILITATE GLOBAL CHANGE TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF CHILDREN WITH PEDIATRIC FEEDING DISORDER - INCLUDING A STAND-ALONE DIAGNOSIS, GOVERNMENT AWARENESS, AND INCLUSIVE INSURANCE COVERAGE.


FAMILY SUPPORT - FAMILY SUPPORT IS DESIGNED TO EMPOWER FAMILIES OF CHILDREN WITH PFD THROUGH FAMILY COACHING, OUR VIRTUAL PROVIDER DIRECTORY AND RESOURCE LIBRARY, VIRTUAL EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES, AND FAMILY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. PFD ALLIANCE - IGNITING UNPRECEDENTED SYSTEMIC CHANGE THROUGH SHARED- COLLECTIVE DECISIONS, INSIGHTS, AND IDEAS. UNITING THE FIELD'S LEADING ADVOCATES, MEDICAL EXPERTS, ALLIED HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS, FAMILIES, AND MORE, OUR PFD IGNITES UNPRECEDENTED CHANGE TO THE SYSTEM OF CARE TO ADVANCE THE FIELD OF PFD. RESEARCH - FEEDING MATTERS AND THE PFD ALLIANCE STRIVE TO IDENTIFY, FUND, AND FACILITATE RESEARCH AND CLINICAL STUDIES THAT ADDRESS THESE ISSUES AND MOVE THE FIELD FROM UTILIZING PRACTICE-BASED EVIDENCE TO RELYING ON EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICE. THE INFANT AND CHILD FEEDING QUESTIONNAIRE, AUTHORED NATIONALLY-RECOGNIZED FEEDING EXPERTS, IS A TOOL THAT ENABLES MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS TO PARTNER WITH PARENTS TO IDENTIFY PEDIATRIC FEEDING ISSUES EARLIER, PROMPTING AN OPPORTUNITY FOR FURTHER ASSESSMENT AND MORE EFFECTIVE TREATMENT. SUCCESSFUL FINDINGS ON PILOT RESEARCH OF THE ICFQ WERE PUBLISHED IN THE JOURNAL OF PEDIATRIC GASTROENTEROLOGY AND NUTRITION. EDUCATION - FEEDING MATTERS AND THE PFD ALLIANCE PROVIDE EDUCATION AND SUPPORT TO BOTH HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS WHO CARE FOR CHILDREN WITH PEDIATRIC FEEDING DISORDER AND FOR THE FAMILIES AS THE NAVIGATE THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM AND THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE. FAMILY MEMBERS OFTEN FIND THEMSELVES SERVING AS LEAD ADVOCATE FOR THEIR CHILD WITH PFD. AS THE TEAM LEADER, THE FAMILY REQUIRES EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT AND APPLICABLE RESOURCES AS THEY NAVIGATE THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM AND THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE. VOLUNTEER PROGRAM - THIS PROGRAM UTILIZES OUR VOLUNTEER'S SKILL SET TO MATCH THEM WITH FULFILLING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES. OUR VOLUNTEERS, HELP WITH EVENTS, PARTICIPATE ON COMMITTEES, COACH IN OUR POWER OF TWO PROGRAM, SERVE AS ADVOCATES AND SHARE RESOURCES WITH THEIR COMMUNITIES.
