DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, CECLC DID NOT HOLD ITS TRADITIONAL ANNUAL CONFERENCE. INSTEAD, IT WAS DECIDED THAT WE WOULD TRY A SOFT LAUNCH OF HOSTING 2 MINI CONFERENCES WITH A MAXIMUM OF 500 ATTENDEES PER EVENT. THERE WAS ALSO A COLLEGE FAIR THAT WAS ORGANIZED FOR THE STUDENTS WITH FREE ENTRY FOR COLLEGE EXHIBITORS.20 STUDENTS WERE AWARDED $1,000 SCHOLARSHIPS. STUDENTS WERE SELECTED THROUGH A COMPETITIVE SCHOLARSHIP PROCESS, WITH CRITERIA INCLUDING: ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, COMMUNITY SERVICE AND LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION. AT LEAST ON STUDENT FROM EACH PARTICIPATING REGION RECEIVED A SCHOLARSHIP. THE AWARDS ARE PAID DIRECTLY TO THE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION THE STUDENT IS ATTENDING (COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY). STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF ENROLLMENT. STUDENTS WERE RECOGNIZED AND RECEIVED THEIR AWARDS AT THE EVENT THIS YEAR.
