THE MISSION OF ACT II COMMUNITY THEATER INC IS TO PROVIDE A QUALITY, ENTERTAINING AND AFFORDABLE LIVE THEATRE EXPERIENCE TO THE RESIDENTS OF ST CHARLES, WARREN, LINCOLN AND ST LOUIS COUNTIES. ACT II THEATER PROVIDES "DEAF NIGHT AT THE THEATRE", WHICH CONSISTS OF 2 AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE CERTIFIED INTERPRETERS. ACT II THEATER PROVIDES "SENIOR NIGHTS", WHICH ALLOWS AREA SENIOR CITIZENS TO ATTEND AT DISCOUNTED RATES. ACT II THEATER PROVIDES REAL-WORLD LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR ANYONE WITH AN INTEREST IN ACTING OR THE TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF THEATRE. IT SERVES AS A TRAINING AND MATRICULATION RESOURCE FOR SURROUNDING HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS THAT HAVE A VORACIOUS APPETITE AND DESIRE TO BE INVOLVED IN THEATRE PRODUCTIONS. THESE STUDENTS HAVE BEEN TRAINED IN LIGHTING, SOUND, STAGE MANAGEMENT, ASSISTING DIRECTORS, AND ASSISTING TECH MANAGEMENT. ACT II THEATER PRESENTS FOUR PRODUCTIONS PER YEAR. FINANCIAL AFFORDABILITY IS AN IMPORTANT FOCUS THAT ACT II RECOGNIZES AND CONTINUES TO ADDRESS BY MAINTAINING AFFORDABLE TICKET PRICES. IT IS ST CHARLES COUNTY'S ONLY NON-ACADEMIC, ADULT-ORIENTED 501(C)(3) THEATRE COMPANY.
