IN 2023 OUR PROGRAMS PROVIDED HOPE FOR NEARLY 850 HOUSEHOLDS BY PROVIDING BASIC LIVING ESSENTIALS SAVING FAMILIES, ON AVERAGE, MORE THAN $400 EACH HOUSEHOLD IN A YEAR. WE MOBILIZE 30 LOCAL CHURCHES BY ENGAGING VOLUNTEERS AND OTHER RESOURCES TO IDENTIFY AND RESPOND TO BASIC NEEDS. WE CREATE VISIBILITY AND STRENGTHEN RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER LOCAL AGENCIES TO PROVIDE A COMPREHENSIVE CARE EXPERIENCE TO THOSE SUFFERING DURING HARDSHIP.
IN 2023 WE SUPPORTED FAMILIES AND CHILDREN BY PROVIDING FREE SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND BACKPACKS FOR KIDS. BY COORDINATING TWO PRODUCT DRIVES AND DISTRIBUTION EVENTS IN TWO DIFFERENT SCHOOL DISTRICTS, WE SERVED 550 STUDENTS. SCHOOL DISTRICT STAFF HAVE TOLD US THAT WITHOUT LOVE INC THERE WOULD BE SOME KIDDOS WITHOUT THE NEEDED SUPPLIES TO LEARN AND TO FEEL LIKE THEY FIT IN. WHEN KIDS DON'T FEEL LIKE THEY BELONG, THEN LEARNING BECOMES NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE.
IN 2023 OUR HELPLINE IS WHERE IT ALL BEGINS BY RECEIVING NEARLY 3,000 PHONE CALLS/EMAILS FROM RESIDENTS ASKING FOR HELP DURING HARDSHIP. OUR SERVICES PROVIDE COMPASSIONATE AND PATIENT ASSISTANCE TO PROVIDE BASIC LIVING ESSENTIALS AND/OR REFER RESIDENTS TO OTHER SERVICE AGENCY IN THE AREA. TRAINED STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS START A RELATIONSHIP WITH HURTING RESIDENTS, WE LISTEN TO THEIR STORIES, AND WE PROVIDE HOPE WHEN HOPE RUNS OUT.
