Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
TO DEVELOP A COLLABORATIVE BASIC AND CLINICAL RESEARCH PROGRAM IN OUR FOUR CORE RESEARCH AREAS: CANCER, NEURODEGENERATIVE DISEASES, RARE DISEASES, AND ADULT STEM CELL THERAPIES. IN 2021, DUE TO AN OVERWHELMING REQUEST FROM THE INSTITUTE'S SUPPORTERS SEEKING AN ETHICAL ALTERNATIVE TO THE CORONAVIRUS VACCINES ON THE MARKET, JP2MRI DEVOTED SOME OF OUR RESEARCH EFFORTS INTO DEVELOPING A SAFER AND MORE ROBUST CORONAVIRUS VACCINE UTILIZING A TRADITIONAL NON-MRNA BASED APPROACH THAT WAS FREE OF ABORTED FETAL TISSUE IN DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING. THIS EFFORT HAS RESULTED IN A PIPELINE OF ATTENUATED VACCINE CANDIDATES THAT ARE READY FOR FURTHER TESTING. JP2MRI HAS A STRONG TRACK RECORD OF ADVANCING THERAPEUTICS FOR A VARIETY OF UNMET MEDICAL NEEDS AT A COST THAT IS MUCH LOWER THAN TYPICALLY CHARGED BY INDUSTRY, GOVERNMENT OR ACADEMIA. THE INSTITUTE'S CORE RESEARCH PRIORITIES INCLUDE NEURODEGENERATIVE DISEASES, RARE DISEASES, CANCER AND REGENERATIVE MEDICINE FOR UNMET CHRONIC DISEASES.
