STATES UNITED PROVIDES TECHNICAL HELP TO STATE AFFILIATE ORGANIZATIONS ON THE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA AND ON THE USE OF SALSA LABS ONLINE COMMUNICATIONS SOFTWARE TO HELP THE STATE ORGANIZATIONS BETTER EDUCATE THEIR MEMBERS AND THE GENERAL POPULATION ON THIS ISSUE THROUGH AN ALL VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION. STATES UNITED DID A VARIETY OF EDUCATIONAL WORK. STATES UNITED AND ITS AFFILIATES AGAIN PARTICIPATED IN NUMEROUS PUBLIC EVENTS TO HIGHLIGHT THE PROBLEMS OF GUN VIOLENCE FROM THE ANNUAL WEAR ORANGE DAY TO THE CONCERT ACROSS AMERICA AGAINST GUN VIOLENCE. STATES UNITED GAVE HANDS-ON HELP TO A NUMBER OF ITS AFFILIATES IN TERMS OF ORGANIZING COALITIONS,SENDING INFORMATION TO MEMBERS ABOUT GOOD AND BAD GUN VIOLENCE PREVENTION POLICIES. AGAIN THIS YEAR EMPHASIS WAS PUT ON DEVELOPING A STRONG DIGITAL PRESENCE ON BOTH FACEBOOK AND TWITTER TO EDUCATE PEOPLE ABOUT GOOD GUN VIOLENCE PREVENTION POLICIES AND TO HIGHLIGHT THE WORK OF ITS 33 AFFILIATES.
