THE PURPOSE OF SOUTHERN OAK SAVANNA ALLIANCE IS TO PROTECT, RESTORE, MAINTAIN AND SUSTAIN OAK SAVANNA ECOSYSTEMS AND OTHER ECOSYSTEMS NATIVE OR INDIGENOUS TO THE MIDWESTERN UNITED STATES. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY PROVIDING A FORUM FOR PEOPLE INTERESTED IN THE EDUCATIONAL, SCIENTIFIC, AND CULTURAL ASPECTS OF NATIVE ECOSYSTEMS, AS WELL AS PRESERVATION AND CONSERVATION OF NATURAL HABITATS.
