CULTURAL PROGRAMS IN ENGA PROVINCE PAPUA NEW GUINEA (PNG) I. ENGA TAKE ANDA: TRADITION AND TRANSITION CENTRE SINCE COVID 19 HAD LITTLE EFFECT ON ENGA UNTIL OCTOBER 2021, THE ENGA TAKE ANDA HAS BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL AS A MUSEUM WITH MANY VISITORS FROM ENGA THOUGH FEW FROM ABROAD BECAUSE OF COVID TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS. SINCE THE MUSEUM STOPPED COLLECTING FEES OTHER THAN THOSE FOR BASIC CLEANING COSTS OF THE BUILDING, THE CONFERENCE FACILITIES (ONE BOARD ROOM AND ONE AUDITORIUM) HAVE BEEN USED ALMOST DAILY BY GROUPS FROM THE ENGA PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT, CHURCHES, YOUTH GROUPS, WOMEN'S GROUPS, CUSTOMARY COURTS AND OTHERS. PEOPLE WHO COME FOR MEETINGS USUALLY TAKE TIME TO LOOK AT THE EXHIBITS AND DISCUSS ENGA HISTORY AND CULTURE. IN 2021 WITH THE HELP OF THE EXHIBIT DESIGNERS DAWN FARKAS, AND SANDY KERMAN (PRINTERS POSTERBOX), WE PREPARED NEW EDUCATIONAL BANNERS FOR THE MUSEUM AND A LARGE EXHIBIT: CHANGING HAIRSTYLES AND CHANGING GENDER ROLES WHICH HAS BEEN WELL-ATTENDED AND RECEIVED.
