FAMILY SERVICES BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CENTERS PROVIDE ADULT OUTPATIENT BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES CLINICAL TREATMENT TO APPROXIMATELY 5,000 CLIENTS ON AN ANNUAL BASIS IN DUTCHESS AND ULSTER COUNTIES. BOTH DUTCHESS AND ULSTER COUNTY LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS CONTRACT WITH FAMILY SERVICES TO PROVIDE THIS LEVEL CARE FOR THE COMMUNITY. OUR OUTPATIENT CENTERS ARE LICENSED BY THE NYS OFFICE OF MENTAL HEALTH AS ARTICLE 31 OUTPATIENT CLINIC SERVICES. TREATMENT SERVICES INCLUDE ASSESSMENT, INDIVIDUAL THERAPY, GROUP THERAPY, PSYCHIATRIC ASSESSMENT, MEDICATION MANAGEMENT, CRISIS AND COMPLEX CARE MANAGEMENT. ALL INDIVIDUALS RECEIVING TREATMENT AT FAMILY SERVICES CENTERS HAVE A BEHAVIORAL HEALTH RELATED DIAGNOSIS AND MANY HAVE CO-OCCURRING SUBSTANCE ABUSE DISORDERS. OUR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH THERAPY SERVICES ARE PROVIDED BY NYS LICENSED SOCIAL WORKERS, MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELORS AND MARITAL AND FAMILY THERAPISTS. NYS LICENSED PSYCHIATRISTS AND NURSE PRACTITIONERS PROVIDE PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATIONS AND MEDICATION MANAGEMENT. EACH CLIENT HAS AN INDIVIDUALIZED SERVICE PLAN WHICH IS REVIEWED IN COLLABORATION WITH THE TREATMENT TEAM. FAMILY SERVICES TREATMENT PROVIDERS WORK COLLABORATIVELY WITH OTHER COMMUNITY AGENCIES TO ENHANCE THE SERVICES OFFERED AT ITS SITES AND TO IMPROVE CLIENT ENGAGEMENT AND OVERALL EXPERIENCE. AS PART OF THE CONTRACT WITH DUTCHESS COUNTY, FAMILY SERVICES CONTINUES PROVIDING CLINICAL SUPPORT TO THE RE-ENTRY STABILIZATION TRANSITION AND REINTEGRATION TRACK (RESTART) IN THE DUTCHESS COUNTY JAIL. THE RESTART PROGRAM IS AN INNOVATIVE PROGRAM TARGETING HIGH RECIDIVISM RATES FOR INCARCERATION AND IS COMPRISED OF STAFF FROM HVMH, PROJECT MORE, & DCDBCH. IN 2019 THE RESTART PROGRAM STAFF WORKED WITH 345 CLIENTS IN THE DUTCHESS COUNTY JAIL. IN 2019, FAMILY SERVICES CONTINUED PROVIDING SERVICES TO 66 INDIVIDUALS IN THE TRANSITION OF CARE WELLNESS PROJECT WITH ACCESS SUPPORTS FOR LIVING, OUR CBHS PARTNER, AND WITH WESTCHESTER MEDICAL CENTER (WMC). THIS PROJECT TARGETED CLIENTS BEING DISCHARGED FROM THE WMC POUGHKEEPSIE CAMPUS AND AIMED TO REDUCE EMERGENCY ROOM VISITS AND PSYCHIATRIC IN-PATIENT ADMISSIONS BY ENGAGING CLIENTS IN CARE WITHIN 48 HOURS OF HOSPITAL DISCHARGE.
