THE HUNDRED CAT FOUNDATION SHALL SUPPORT HUMANE AND COMPETENT CARE OF DOMESTIC COMPANION ANIMALS, INCLUDING THE RESCUE OF ANIMALS AT RISK BECAUSE OF LACK OF FOOD, ADEQUATE SHELTER, OR OTHER RISK FACTORS; THE PROVISION OF APPROPRIATE VETERINARY CARE FOR THOSE ANIMALS; THE PROVISION OF FOOD AND SHELTER FOR THOSE ANIMALS; SOCIALIZATION OF THOSE DEEMED APPROPRIATE FOR ADOPTION AND OUTREACH TO FIND HOMES FOR THOSE ANIMALS; OUTREACH TO FIND ALTERNATIVE SAFE ENVIRONMENTS FOR THOSE ANIMALS DEEMED INAPPROPRIATE FOR ADOPTION. WE WILL ENDEAVOR TO EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY ABOUT PROPER CARE AND TREATMENT OF DOMESTIC COMPANIONS, INCLUDING FERAL CATS, PARTICULARLY WITH REGARD TO SPAYING OR NEUTERING THE ANIMAL. SPAY/NEUTER VIA VOUCHERS: WE SPAYED OR NEUTERED 608 CATS AND KITTENS THROUGH OUR TNR PROGRAM USING VOUCHERS VALID AT LOCAL VET CLINICS, SAVING THOUSANDS OF KITTENS BEING BORN TO AN UNCERTAIN LIFE, IMPROVING THE LIVES OF ANIMALS SPAYED OR NEUTERED, AND DRAMATICALLY LIMITING THE FINANCIAL DRAIN ON THEIR CARETAKERS.
EDUCATION AND OUTREACH
SHELTER/RELOCATION SUPPORT: WE MAINTAINED A SHELTER FOR UNSOCIALIZED CATS BROUGHT TO OUR CLINICS WHO COULD NOT BE SAFELY RETURNED TO THEIR ORIGINAL HOMES, AND FACILITATED THE RELOCATION/ADOPTION OF SEVERAL OTHER CATS.
FEED THE FERALS AND SHELTERS: WE PROVIDE NUTRITIOUS CAT FOOD TO LOW-INCOME COLONY CAREGIVERS THROUGH-OUT THE YEAR (APPROXIMATELY 950 POUNDS OF FOOD PER MONTH) AND WE PROVIDE STRAW-FILLED WINTER SHELTERS THROUGH-OUT THE YEAR ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS TO ANY COMMUNITY MEMBER THAT NEEDS THEM FOR THE CATS THEY CARE FOR.
