ACTS 4 MINISTRY COLLECTS AND DISTRIBUTES NEW AND REUSABLE GOODS OF FURNITURE, CLOTHING AND HOUSEWARES TO THOSE IN FINANCIAL DISTRESS.

FURNITURE - OUR PROGRAM IS HERE TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THOSE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED SIGNIFICANT LIFE CHANGES AS A RESULT OF HARDSHIPS. WHETHER YOU HAD TO ABANDON YOUR FURNITURE DURING A MOVE OR ARE STARTING ANEW, WE ARE DEDICATED TO HELPING THOSE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED HARDSHIP. WE SERVE RESIDENTS FROM COMMUNITIES LOCATED IN GREATER WATERBURY AND LITCHFIELD HILLS. THIS PORTION OF THE MINISTRY PROVIDES FOR CLOSE TO 200 HOMES ANNUALLY AND ONLY ALLOWS A FAMILY OR INDIVIDUAL TO RECEIVE FURNITURE ONE-TIME IN THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE MINISTRY.


BOUTIQUE - IF ONE HAS EXPERIENCED A SIGNIFICANT LIFE CHANGE AS A RESULT OF DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES, OUR PROGRAM IS HERE TO SUPPORT AND SERVE AS A BRIDGE TO HELP THEM TO THE NEXT STAGE OF LIFE. THE BOUTIQUE IS SET TO PROVIDE FREE CLOTHING, ACCESSORIES, AND OUTERWEAR TWICE PER YEAR PER CLIENT - ONCE DURING THE SPRING/SUMMER SEASON AND ONCE DURING THE FALL/WINTER SEASON AND SERVES RESIDENTS FROM COMMUNITIES LOCATED IN GREATER WATERBURY AND LITCHFIELD HILLS.


PERSONAL CARE CLOSET - NO MATTER YOUR CURRENT LIFE SITUATION, PRACTICING GOOD PERSONAL HYGIENE AND MAINTAINING A CLEAN HOME CAN LEAVE YOU FEELING REVITALIZED. OUR PROGRAM PROVIDES YOU WITH THE NECESSARY SUPPLIES TO KEEP BOTH YOURSELF AND YOUR LIVING SPACE CLEAN AND PREPARED TO TAKE ON THE DAY. OUR VOLUNTEERS HAVE COLLECTED DATA TO IDENTIFY THE CIRCUMSTANCES OUR CLIENTS FACE. THESE INCLUDE DOWNSIZING, INFLATION, LOSS OF LOVED ONES AND PRIMARY INCOME. THE DEMAND FOR OUR SERVICES HAS INCREASED SIGNIFICANTLY, WITH OVER 65% OF OUR CLIENTS BEING NEW TO OUR MINISTRY. MANY STRUGGLE TO MEET BASIC NEEDS, INCLUDING HYGIENE AND CLEAN CLOTHES. OUR DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS HAVE DISTRIBUTED 82 ITEMS PER PERSON.
