EQUALLY, WILHELMS SON CARL WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN DEVELOPING THE DUAL TRACK EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM THAT PAIRED ACADEMIC LEARNING WITH HANDS ON APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMS WHICH IS NOW THE BEDROCK OF THE GERMAN EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM.THE FOUNDATION ACTIVELY SUPPORTS MENTORING, BY EDUCATING AND ENCOURAGING THOSE IN POSITIONS OF EXPERTISE, TO ENGAGE IN THE MENTORING OF PROMISING INDIVIDUALS, WHO WOULD BENEFIT FROM THEIR SUBJECT MATTER KNOWLEDGE, INTERNSHIPS AND NETWORK.TRAIN RESTORATIONCONSISTENT WITH THE FOUNDATIONS PURPOSE, WHICH INCLUDES SCIENTIFIC AND EDUCATIONAL, AND TO HONOR ITS HERITAGE, THE FOUNDATION BEGAN AN IMPORTANT TRAIN RESTORATION PROJECT IN GERMANY.
