METRO WEST COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENT PROMOTES INTERGOVERNMENTAL COOPERATION AND COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE MEMBER MUNICIPALITIES; TO ARTICULATE POSITIONS AND WHEN APPROPRIATE, IMPLEMENT SOLUTIONS TO REGIONAL, COUNTYWIDE AND STATE ISSUES. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES RESEARCH AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOLUTIONS TO LOCAL ISSUES PRESENTED BY MEMBER MUNICIPALITIES. THE COUNCIL PROVIDES TRAINING AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO FOSTER LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND AN UNDERSTANDING OF MUNICIPAL ISSUES.
