COLLECTED PARTICIPATION FEES FROM CENTERS PARTICIPATING IN THE IMPROVECARENOW NETWORK AND EXPENDED THOSE FEES TO FUND COSTS OF THE IMRPOVECARENOW NETWORK. PARTICIPATING CENTERS APPLIED METHODS TO IMPROVE TESTING AND EVALUATION, TO STANDARDIZE CLASSIFICATION, TO IMPROVE DETECTION AND TREATMENT OF CROHN'S DISEASE AND ULCERATIVE COLITIS; AND TO IMPROVE THE USE OF AVAILABLE THERAPIES. THE RESULTING CLINICAL DATA IS USED TO IMPROVE THE CARE AND OUTCOMES OF CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS WITH INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE.
COLLECTED FEES FOR TWO IMPROVECARENOW COMMUNITY CONFERENCES WITH REPRESENTATION FROM ALL PARTICIPATING CENTERS AND EXPENDED FEES TO FUND COSTS OF THE CONFERENCES. AT THE COMMUNITY CONFERENCES PARTICIPANTS LEARNED HOW TO APPLY SYSTEMS FRAMEWORK TO THE CARE OF PATIENTS WITH INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE ("IBD"), METHODS FOR IMPLEMENTING AND TESTING IMPROVEMENTS IN CARE DELIVERY, AND THE USE OF TOOLS, FORMS AND OTHER AIDS TO HELP WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SUCCESSFUL CHANGES TO IMPROVE THE CARE AND OUTCOMES OF CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS WITH IBD.
IN SUPPORT AS PRACTICE STIPENDS TO PARTIALLY RECOGNIZE THE SIGNIFICANT EFFORTS REQUIRED TO SUPPORT THE TRANSITION TO THE INFORMATICS PLATFORM, IMPLEMENT THE QI ACTIVITIES TO IMPROVE POPULATION MANAGEMENT AND PATIENT/FAMILY ENGAGEMENT, AND CONDUCT THE COMPARATIVE EFFECTIVENESS RESEARCH AT THE CENTER.
