DURING THE PAST YEAR, THE ANNAPOLIS COALITION HAS CONTINUED ITS WORK IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST TO STRENGTHEN THE NATION'S BEHAVIORAL HEALTH WORKFORCE. THE COALITION IS ADDRESSING THE CRISIS IN RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION OF MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER PROFESSIONALS BY OFFERING LEARNING COLLABORATIVES ON RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION. WITHIN THE PAST YEAR, THESE LEARNING COLLABORATIVES HAVE BEEN CONDUCTED AND COMPLETED IN DELAWARE, NORTH DAKOTA, CONNECTICUT AND WASHINGTON, DC. PARTICIPATING AGENCIES HAVE RECEIVED FROM THE COALITION EDUCATION ON RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION BEST PRACTICES AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN DEVISING AND IMPLEMENTING THEIR OWN RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION PLANS. THE COALITION ALSO COMPLETED THE FACILITATION OF THE ADAPTATION OF THE ALASKA CORE COMPETENCIES BY THE STATE OF NORTH DAKOTA, DIVISION OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH.
