NEIGHBORS 4 NEIGHBORS AND OUR BOARD MEMBER HAVE BEEN WORKING HARD TO HELP DISASTER RELIEF IN SOUTH FLORIDA. IN 2023 ALONE, WE WORKED WITH 3 NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE RESOURCES FOR REPAIRS ON HOMES WITHOUT FLOOD INSURANCE.


NEIGHBORS 4 NEIGHBORS SET UP THE SURFSIDE BUILDING COLLAPSE FUND TO ASSIST THE VICTIMS IN THE LONG TERM WITH UNFORESEEN COSTS AND THINGS NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE. WE WORKED DIRECTLY WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO ASSIST IN COORDINATING MORE IMMEDIATE RESOURCES LIKE DONATED FOOD, APARTMENT RENTALS, FURNITURE, GIFT CARDS, AND MORE. IN 2023, WE WERE ABLE TO TEAM UP WITH MIAMI-DADE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS MIGRANT FAMILY PROGRAM AND ASSIST OVER 600 FAMILIES AT TWO LARGE EVENTS, ONE IN THE SUMMER AS SCHOOLS STARTED AND ONE BEFORE THE HOLIDAYS. WE WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE FREE COMMUNITY DISTRIBUTIONS WHERE FAMILIES RECEIVED FOOD, ESSENTIALS (CLOTHING, BACKPACKS, TOYS, GIFT CARDS, AND A HOT LUNCH AT A DRIVE-THROUGH / WALK-UP LOCATION, RIGHT IN THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD).


EVERY HOLIDAY SEASON FOR THE PAST 30 YEARS, NEIGHBORS 4 NEIGHBORS HAS SUCCESSFULLY HOSTED THE ANNUAL ADOPT A FAMILY 4 THE HOLIDAYS PROGRAM! IN 2023, NEIGHBORS 4 NEIGHBORS WORKED WITH 39 DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS AND HELPED 700 FAMILIES GET HOLIDAY ASSISTANCE.
