CLINIC OPERATIONS:IN 2021, OUR 17TH YEAR OF OPERATION, 5 TRANSPORT PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS (NON-PROFIT ANIMAL WELFARE AGENCIES) ACROSS 3 COUNTIES IN NORTHEAST OHIO INVITED US INTO THEIR COMMUNITIES, SECURED SUITABLE LOCATIONS, ADVERTISED OUR SERVICES, SCHEDULED CLIENTS AND COLLECTED FEES. IN ADDITION TO TRANSPORT PARTNERS, PETFIX WORKED CLOSELY WITH MORE THAN 40 DIFFERENT SHELTERS, RESCUES AND COMMUNITY CAT ORGANIZATIONS TO OFFER THEM AFFORDABLE SPAY/NEUTER SERVICES FOR ANIMALS IN THEIR CARE. DURING 259 DAYS, THE CLINIC PERFORMED 10,419 SURGERIES, INCLUDING 3,753 CAT NEUTERS, 3,404 CAT SPAYS, 1,834 DOG NEUTERS, AND 1,428 DOG SPAYS. THROUGH THE TRAP-NEUTER-RETURN PROGRAM, PETFIX SPAYED/NEUTERED AND EAR-TIPPED MORE THAN 2,000 COMMUNITY/FERAL CATS. IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN THE BARRIER BETWEEN ANIMALS AND HUMANS, WE VACCINATE EVERY CAT AND DOG ALTERED IN OUR CLINIC THAT HAS NOT PREVIOUSLY BEEN IMMUNIZED, RESULTING IN OUR ADMINISTRATION OF 7,620 RABIES VACCINATIONS DURING 2021.SINCE OUR OPERATIONS COMMENCED IN DECEMBER 2005, PETFIX HAS ALTERED 98,832 CATS AND DOGS. OUR GOALS FOR 2021 AND BEYOND ARE TO EXPAND OUR SURGICAL CAPACITY, FOCUSING ON OUTREACH TO UNDER-SERVED COMMUNITIES, AND MORE EFFECTIVELY MEASURING OUR EFFORTS THROUGH BETTER DATA COLLECTION FROM THE COMMUNITY.
