FRIENDS OF MENUCHA FOUNDATION MADE GRANTS TO FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF PORTLAND TO SUPPORT MENUCHA IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN 2022:*JOHNSON GIFT PHASE 2 - THANKS TO A GENEROUS SECOND DONATION FROM THE JOHNSON FAMILY IN 2021 WE WERE ABLE TO FUND SIGNIFICANT AND NECESSARY REPAIRS TO BALLARD HALL AND OTHER BUILDINGS AND AREAS ON THE PROPERTY.*ONGOING SUPPORT - PROVIDE ONGOING SUPPORT TO MENUCHA'S OPERATIONAL AND PAYROLL COSTS, PARTICULARLY THROUGH THE CONTINUED COVID-19 PANDEMIC RECOVERY.(CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)*BUSINESS MANAGER - RECEIVED SUPPORT THROUGH A MURDOCK GRANT TO HIRE A BUSINESS MANAGER FOR MENUCHA. THE BUSINESS MANAGER HAS BEEN TASKED WITH SETUP AND STEERING OF MENUCHA'S TRANSITION TO AN INDEPENDENT NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION TAKING PLACE IN 2023.*JOHNSON GIFT PHASE 3 - THANKS TO A GENEROUS THIRD DONATION FROM THE JOHNSON FAMILY IN 2022 WE WERE ABLE TO PURCHASE A VARIETY OF MUCH NEEDED EQUIPMENT FOR GROUNDS MAINTENANCE, AND SUPPORT THE COST OF OTHER EXPENSES RELATED TO MAINTAINING THE PROPERTY.*GREENING PROJECTS & WRIGHT HALL FURNACE - WRIGHT HALL, THE CENTERPIECE PROPERTY OF MENUCHA, EXPERIENCED AN UNEXPECTED FAILURE OF ITS ANTIQUATED OIL FURNACE. THE FURNACE WAS LONG PAST ITS EXPECTED USEFUL LIFE. THE FOUNDATION USED THE LAST PORTION OF THE FUNDS DONATED FOR GREENING (ENERGY IMPROVEMENT) PROJECTS TO SUPPORT THE REPLACEMENT COST OF A NEW HEAT PUMP SYSTEM.
