FY23 BROUGHT THE STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS TO GFF. THE NEW PLAN WAS ROLLED OUT TO MEMBERS IN MAY, 2023, AND WORK DEPLOYING THE PLAN BEGAN IMMEDIATELY. THE FOUNDATION ORGANIZED ITS MISSION INTO FIVE STRATEGIC PILLARS: RESEARCH, EXPERTS, COMMUNICATIONS, REVENUE, AND OPERATIONS. UNDER THE RESEARCH PILLAR, THE FOUNDATION EXECUTED ITS FIRST COMPETITIVE NUTRITION SCIENCE RESEARCH FUNDING OPPORTUNITY AND BEGAN WORK TOWARD AN INAUGURAL CONSUMER INSIGHTS PROJECT. THE EXPERTS PILLAR BROUGHT ATTENTION TO GFF'S 10-MEMBER SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY BOARD AND OTHER STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS GATHERING BOTH RESEARCHERS AND CLINICIANS FOR STRATEGIC COUNSEL AROUND THE LATEST GRAINS-FOCUSED NUTRITION SCIENCE AND CRAFTING MESSAGES FOR FOUNDATION TARGET AUDIENCES BASED ON THAT SCIENCE. IN COMMUNICATIONS, GFF CONTINUED TO INVEST IN AUDIENCE GROWTH ACROSS SOCIAL PLATFORMS AND AMONG MEMBER AUDIENCES, PARTICULARLY. THE FOUNDATION ALSO UNDERTOOK PARTNERSHIP PROJECTS WITH OTHER SCIENCE-BASED, FOOD-FOCUSED GROUPS WHICH WOULD MULTIPLY AUDIENCES EXPOSED TO RESOURCES WHICH INCLUDED GRAINS-POSITIVE MESSAGING. THE FOUNDATION SAW INCREASED MEMBER DUES COMMITMENTS DUE TO THE MOMENTUM AROUND THE STRATEGIC PLAN AND CONTINUED TO SEEK OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE, ALSO EMPHASIZED IN THE PLAN.
