STATE VOICES WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2004 FOR THE PURPOSE OF INCREASING ENGAGEMENT BY INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS IN WAYS THAT STRENGTHEN DEMOCRATIC INSTITUTIONS AND ENCOURAGE PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT IN CIVIC LIFE. STATE VOICES CONNECTS LOCAL, STATE AND NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS WITH THE TOOLS, TRAINING AND RESOURCES THEY NEED TO CARRY OUT MORE EFFECTIVE NONPARTISAN CIVIC ENGAGEMENT. STATE VOICES' PRIORITY IS TO WORK NATIONALLY IN COMMUNITIES THAT HAVE BEEN HISTORICALLY UNDERREPRESENTED IN THE DEMOCRATIC PROCESS AND TO ENGAGE EXCLUSIVELY IN CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER NONPARTISAN CIVIC ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES IN FURTHERANCE OF ITS EXEMPT PURPOSES.

STATE VOICES BRINGS TOGETHER PUBLIC CHARITIES TO ENCOURAGE COLLABORATION IN THEIR NONPARTISAN WORK. IN PARTICULAR, STATE VOICES BROUGHT TOGETHER OVER 700 PUBLIC CHARITIES IN 24 STATES. IN ADDITION, STATE VOICES HAS PROVIDED CUTTING-EDGE ORGANIZING TECHNOLOGY AND EXPERIMENTATION ACCESS TO THESE ORGANIZATIONS.
