SUBSTANCE ABUSE PREVENTION COALITION - WORKING TOGETHER TO ELIMINATE THE USE OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, AND OTHER DRUG USE IN FAIRMONT'S YOUTH BY EMPOWERING AND SUPPORTING THEM TO MAKE GOOD CHOICES. YOUTH FIRST HAS CONDUCTED YOUTH, PARENT, BUSINESS, AND COMMUNITY ASSESSMENTS TO GATHER DATA ON USE, ATTITUDES, PERCEPTIONS OF USE AND PREVENTION, IMPLEMENTED EVIDENCE-BASED CURRICULUM FOR YOUTH IN GRADES 6-11 AT FAIRMONT PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND POSITIVE COMMUNITY NORMS MESSAGING IN FAIRMONT PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND THE COMMUNITY. ADDITIONALLY, THIS ORGANIZATION SPONSORS YOUTH LEADERSHIP TRAINING EVENTS AND ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, AND OTHER DRUG-FREE EVENTS FOR YOUTH.
