THE GLOBAL YOUTH ACTION NETWORK CONTINUES TO FACILITATE ENGAGEMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN UNITED NATIONS' PROCESSES THROUGH ITS CLOSE PARTNERSHIP WITH TAKINGITGLOBAL. IN 2018, A MAJOR FOCUS WAS THE DECARBONIZE DECOLONIZE PROJECT ENGAGING YOUTH AND STUDENTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD IN THE UNFCCC COP24 CONFERENCE IN POLAND. THESE EXPERIENCES HELP TO MAKE EDUCATION MORE RELEVANT FOR STUDENTS AND ALSO ENSURE YOUTH VOICE AT THESE SUMMITS. WE ALSO HELPED TO ORGANIZE GLOBAL EDUCATION ACTIVITIES FOR EDUCATORS ACROSS THE US AND AROUND THE WORLD, AND PROVIDED SUPPORT FOR TEACH FOR CANADA'S WORK STRENGTHENING EDUCATION OUTCOMES FOR YOUTH IN REMOTE INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES.
