ACTIVITIES RELATED TO EMPLOYMENT SERVICES CONSIST OF ASSISTING PERSONSWITH DISABILITIES IN SEEKING EMPLOYMENT TO CHOOSE, OBTAIN, MAINTAIN AND RETAIN INTEGRATED COMPETITIVE EMPLOYMENT IN THE COMMUNITY. ADDITIONALLY EMPLOYMENT SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO PERSONS SEEKING EMPLOYMENT AND NEEDING ASSISTANCE IN DEVELOPING OR REESTABLISHING SKILLS, ATTITUDES, PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS, INTERPERSONAL SKILLS, WORK BEHAVIORS, FUNCTIONAL CAPABILITIES, ETC., TO ACHIEVE POSITIVE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES.ADDITIONAL SERVICE RELATED ACTIVITIES INCLUDE INSTRUCTION ON INTERVIEWING SKILLS, FINDING AND COMPLETING JOB APPLICATIONS, MANAGING EMPLOYER INITIAL CONTACTS, HANDLING CONFLICTS AT AND OUTSIDE THE WORKPLACE, TAPPING COMMUNITY RESOURCES, (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)(CONTINUED FROM PART II, LINE 4A) NAVIGATING PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AND REVIEW OF CUSTOMER BENEFITS.SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT SERVICES FOR CUSTOMERS OF DOE/DVR ARE NECESSARY BECAUSE THESE INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES HAVE TRADITIONALLY LACKED THE ADEQUATE AND APPROPRIATE OPPORTUNITIES AND SUPPORTS NECESSARY TO ASSIST THEM IN THE PREPARATION OF OBTAINING, MAINTAINING AND REGAINING MEANINGFUL COMMUNITY BASED EMPLOYMENT.
