TO PROMOTE EDUCATION & AWARENESS SURROUNDING THE IMPORTANCE OF CHEESE AND CHEESEMAKING IN OREGON.

CONSUMER EVENTS: DURING 2021, OREGON CHEESE GUILD ("OCG") HELD TWO CONSUMER EVENTS TO CONTINUE TO BRING ATTENTION TO OREGON'S ARTISINAL CHEESES - THE OREGON CHEESE FEST TO-GO IN MARCH AND THE WINTER WEDGE IN DECEMBER. THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 500 PARTICIPANTS AT EACH. A DOZEN OREGON CHEESEMAKERS AND FOUR ACCOMPANIMENT PARTNERS PARTICIPATED IN EACH OF THE EVENTS.


GENERAL MARKETING: DURING 2021 OCG CONTINUED TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF OREGON ARTISAN CHEESE THROUGH THE ORGANIZATION'S WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS, AND BY DISTRIBUTING THE OREGON CHEESE TRAIL MAP. THE OREGON CHEESE MONTH CAMPAIGN HELD IN SEPTEMBER ENCOURAGED DISTRIBUTOR AND RETAIL PARTNERS TO FEATURE AND PROMOTE OREGON CHEESES THROUGHOUT THE MONTH, CREATE POINT-OF-SALE MATERIALS AND DISPLAYS, AND SAMPLE AND DEMONSTRATE OREGON CHEESES WHEN POSSIBLE. THE GUILD ALSO PARTICIPATED IN OUTSIDE INDUSTRY AND CONSUMER-FACING EVENTS TO REPRESENT THE OREGON CHEESE CATEGORY.


EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, COMMUNICATIONS AND OPPORTUNITIES: OCG PRESENTED MEMBERS OPPORTUNITIES TO PARTICIPATE IN MULTIPLE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS IMPLEMENTED BY OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AND CONTINUED TO DISSEMINATE INFORMATION AND PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO MEMBERS AND PARTERS THROUGH THE MEMBER NEWSLETTER AND SOCIAL MEDIA POSTINGS.
