COMPLETE STREETS MAKEOVER: THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, RECONNECT ROCHESTER DRAWS ATTENTION TO COMPLETE STREETS DESIGN AS A KEY ELEMENT OF CREATING SAFE STREETS IN OUR COMMUNITY. WE COLLABORATE WITH NEIGHBORHOODS TO IMPLEMENT ON-STREET DESIGN EXPERIMENTATION AND TRANSFORM A TROUBLED INTERSECTION INTO ONE THAT IS SAFE AND WELCOMING FOR EVERYONE.

ROCHESTER STREET FILMS: THIS PROGRAM FEATURES LOCALLY PRODUCED FILMS AND CURATED FILM CLIPS, ACCOMPANIED BY LIVE PANEL DISCUSSIONS, TO HELP STIMULATE COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS ABOUT THE CURRENT STATE AND FUTURE POSSIBILITIES FOR MOBILITY IN ROCHESTER.
TRANSIT AMBASSADORS: RECONNECT ROCHESTER HIRES PAID AMBASSADORS TO CONDUCT OUTREACH TO RTS BUS RIDERS TO FIND OUT WHAT'S ON THEIR MINDS AND THEIR IDEAS FOR SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS. IN 2023, OVER 10 WEEKS, WE SURVEYED OVER 200 RIDERS, AND PRESENTED THE SURVEY RESULTS WITH RECOMMENDATIONS TO RTS LEADERSHIP. WE ALSO CONDUCTED LONG FORM INTERVIEWS WITH 5 RIDERS AND PUBLISHED THEIR STORIES IN A "VOICES OF TRANSIT" BLOG SERIES.
