THE CHAMBER ALLIANCE OF NEW YORK STATE (CANYS) IS DEDICATED TO FOCUSING THE COLLECTIVE INFLUENCE AND EFFORTS OF THE CHAMBER COMMUNITY, AS WELL AS CONTRIBUTING TO ITS MEMBERS' GROWTH AND PROFESSIONALISM.

HAVING EVOLVED FROM THE NEW YORK STATE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE EXECUTIVES, OUR ORGANIZATION STRIVES TO ELEVATE THE PROMINENCE AND IMAGE OF LOCAL CHAMBERS, WHILE PROVIDING A FORUM FOR THE SHARING OF IDEAS, UNIQUE MANAGEMENT PROCESSES AND NEW TECHNOLOGY. CANYS' GOAL IS TO PROVIDE LEADERSHIP AND ASSISTANCE IN THE FOLLOWING KEY AREAS:PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT THRU NETWORKING AND PROGRAMMING:THE MOST VALUABLE SERVICE CANYS CAN PROVIDE IS TO SHARE THE COLLECTIVE EXPERTISE AND PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS OF ITS MEMBERS. THEREFORE, CANYS: OFFERS MULTIPLE CONFERENCES AND VIRTUAL MEETINGS EACH YEAR THAT FOCUS ON VARIOUS ASPECTS OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, LEGISLATIVE ISSUES AND CHAMBER MANAGEMENT. PROVIDES NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHAMBER, ASSOCIATION AND BUSINESS EXECUTIVES COORDINATES AND DISTRIBUTES THE CANYS CONNECTION E-NEWSLETTER AND A COMPREHENSIVE DIRECTORY OF CANYS MEMBERS ASSISTS IN THE COLLABORATION AND COALITION BUILDING BETWEEN CHAMBERS, BUSINESSES AND OTHER LIKE ORGANIZATIONSADVOCACY THRU POLITICAL ACTION AND EDUCATION:THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS WITH STATE AND NATIONAL ASSOCIATIONS, CANYS AIMS TO EDUCATE ITS MEMBERS ON ISSUES OF IMPORTANCE TO THE EMPLOYER COMMUNITY THROUGHOUT THE STATE.
