FRIENDS OF GANONDAGAN PROVIDES CULTURAL PROGRAMMING AND COMMUNITY EVENTS TO ENRICH THE UNDERSTANDING OF SENECA AND HAUDENOSAUNEE VALUES, CULTURE, AND CONTEMPORARY LIFE. THE IROQUOIS WHITE CORN PROJECT REFLECTS THE PERSISTENCE OF THE HAUDENOSAUNEE PEOPLE, THE COMPLEXITY OF THEIR CULTURE, AND THEIR ENORMOUS CONTRIBUTIONS TO CONTEMPORARY LIFE. ADDITIONAL PROGRAMMING AND EVENTS INCLUDE NATIVE AMERICAN MUSIC, DANCE AND ARTS FESTIVALS, THE LIVING HISTORY SERIES, AND THE CANANDAIGUA TREATY EVENT. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO SENDS PERIODIC NEWSLETTERS, HOLDS WORKSHOPS, CONDUCTS GUIDED TOURS, AND PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOCAL SCHOOLS.
