THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES THE 24-BEDROOM RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE, THE 7-BEDROOM HOUSE WITHIN THE HOSPITAL, AND THE 2-BEDROOM FAMILY ROOM AT UNITY HOSPITAL. THESE FACILITIES PROVIDE TEMPORARY LODGING TO FAMILIES OF ILL OR INJURED CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 21. THE WESTMORELAND HOUSE IS IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO STRONG MEMORIAL HOSPITAL AND THE HOUSE WITHIN THE HOSPITAL IS PHYSICALLY LOCATED WITHIN THE HOSPITAL. IN 2021 THE ORGANIZATION EXPANDED ITS REACH TO INCLUDE UNITY HOSPITAL AND OPENED A RONALD MCDONALD FAMILY ROOM WITH TWO SLEEPING ROOMS INSIDE UNITY HOSPITAL. IN 2021, THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE PROVIDED A TOTAL OF 4,454 FAMILY NIGHTS AND THE HOUSE WITHIN THE HOSPITAL PROVIDED 1,547 FAMILY NIGHTS. THE FAMILY ROOM AT UNITY OPENED IN APRIL OF 2021 AND PROVIDED 36 FAMILY NIGHTS. (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)ADDITIONALLY, THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUED THE VIRTUAL FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM STARTED IN 2020 TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO FAMILIES WHILE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES REGULAR PROGRAMS WERE AT CAPACITY DUE TO COVID-19 OCCUPANCY LIMITS. THE VIRTUAL FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM COVERED HOTEL EXPENSES FOR 347 NIGHTS, MEAL VOUCHERS FOR HOSPITAL DINING, AND GIFT CARDS TO LOCAL RESTAURANTS IN 2021. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO HAS 4 DAY USE PROGRAMS: THE FAMILY ROOM GOLISANO CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, THE MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS FAMILY ROOM, THE FAMILY LOUNGE IN ROCHESTER GENERAL HOSPITAL, AND THE OUTPATIENT COMFORT CART AT STRONG MEMORIAL HOSPITAL. THE FAMILY ROOM AT GOLISANO CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL PIVOTED TO BE ABLE TO PROVIDE SPACE FOR HOSPITAL STAFF TO SOCIAL DISTANCE DURING THEIR BREAKS AND CONTINUED TO SUPPORT FAMILIES BY PROVIDING LAUNDRY FACILITIES. THE MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS FAMILY ROOM REOPENED IN JUNE 2021 AND HAD 10 VISITORS. THE FAMILY LOUNGE AT ROCHESTER GENERAL HOSPITAL REMAINED CLOSED. THE COMFORT CART PROVIDED OVER 2,500 HEALTH SNACK BAGS TO PEDIATRIC PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES. FUNDS ARE SOLICITED THROUGH A VARIETY OF FUNDRAISING INITIATIVES.
