THE ORGANIZATION IS COMMITTED TO HELPING BUILD A COMMUNITY IN THE SOUTH WEDGE WHILE ENCOURAGING A FULL RANGE OF HOUSING AND BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES AND PROMOTING A DIVERSE, HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT, AND COMMERCIALLY VIABLE URBAN VILLAGE.

SWPC ASSISTED 35 INCOME QUALIFIED HOMEOWNERS WITH APPROXIMATELY $115,000 IN HOME REPAIRS. WE ARE A NYS & LOCAL CHDO, AND COMPLETED 2 GUT-REHABILITATIONS, MARKETING COMPLETED HOMES TO 1ST TIME INCOME-QUALIFIED HOMEOWNERS. WE REFERRED 15 PEOPLE TO OTHER AGENCIES FOR ASSISTANCE, INCLUDING FORECLOSURE PREVENTION, ELDER CARE AND ADAPTIVE HOME MODIFICATIONS. APPROXIMATELY 15 INDIVIDUALS AND SMALL BUSINESSES RECEIVED BUSINESS PLANNING ASSISTANCE THROUGH OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH THE SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER AT SUNY GENESEO AND ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS WITH OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR.

IT IS MAILED TO SOUTH WEDGE HOMES AND SUBSCRIBERS AND DISTRIBUTED TO AREA BUSINESSES AND RETAIL SHOPS. ITS MISSION IS TO PROVIDE ACCURATE COVERAGE OF NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS AS WELL AS LOCAL, STATE AND NATIONAL NEWS THAT AFFECT THE AREA.
