THE HEAD START PROGRAM PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE CHILD DEVELOPMENT SERVICES TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES. THE PROGRAM SERVES CHILDREN, BIRTH THROUGH FOUR YEARS OF AGE, AND PREGNANT MOTHERS. EDUCATIONAL, NUTRITIONAL, SOCIAL, AND HEALTH SERVICES ARE PROVIDED IN THREE CENTERS AND HOME BASE OPTIONS. DURING THE 2021 - 2022 FISCAL YEAR, 76 CHILDREN WERE ENROLLED IN THE CENTER-BASED PROGRAM WITH 10 CHILDREN IN THE HEAD START HOME-BASED PROGRAM AND 30 CHILDREN IN THE EARLY HEAD START HOME-BASE OPTION. OUT OF THE TOTAL 117 CHILDREN, 38% OF THE CHILDREN REQUIRED SERVICES FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES.
