CROSSROADS CENTER FOR CHILDREN PROVIDES NEW YORK STATE APPROVED SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN WITHIN THE SPECTRUM OF AUTISM.STATE EDUCATION PROGRAMS PROVIDED INCLUDE SPECIAL EDUCATION CLASS IN SEGREGATED AND INTEGRATED SETTINGS WITH NON-HANDICAPPED CHILDREN AS PEERS, SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES PROVIDED AT THE STUDENTS HOME, SPECIAL DIAGNOSIS AND BEHAVIORAL TRAINING USING APPLIED BEHAVIORAL ANALYSIS TECHNIQUES AND EVALUATIONS OF CHILDREN SUSPECTED OF HAVING BEHAVIORAL DELAYS OR COMPLICATIONS.
AS A CONVENIENCE TO PARENTS OF ALL STUDENTS, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES NURSERY SCHOOL, DAY CARE AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL RELATED SERVICES. THESE PROGRAMS PROMOTE THE CENTER'S EXEMPT PURPOSE BY ALLOWING HANDICAPPED STUDENTS TO INTERACT WITH THEIR NON-HANDICAPPED PEERS.
