IN ADDITION, JOINING HEARTS AND HANDS, LTD. JOINING HEARTS AND HANDS, LTD. LEARNED THAT THERE WAS A SERIOUS WATER SHORTAGE FOR THE ENTIRE SCHOOL AND NEIGHBORING COMMUNITY AT USAMBARA GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL IN KOROGWE, TANZANIA. JOINING HEARTS AND HANDS, LTD. PROVIDED RESOURCES AND COUNSEL FOR THE DRILLING OF A 100MTS BORE/HOLE WELL AT USAMBARA GIRLS HS. THIS WATER SOURCE BENEFITS THE ENTIRE STUDENT COMMUNITY WITH STAFF AND NON-TEACHING PERSONNEL. IN ADDITION THE VILLAGE COMMUNITY FOUND TO THE NORTH EAST OF THE SCHOOL BENEFITS WHERE THEY WERE ABLE TO EASILY ACCESS WATER FROM A WATER POINT BUILT TO THE EAST OF THE SCHOOL. JOINING HEARTS AND HAND, LTD. HAS A LONG TERM PARTNERSHIP WITH ST. MARY MAGDALENE, OASIS OF PEACE SCHOOL IN KISUMU, KENYA. THEY HAD A DIRE NEED FOR NEW REQUIRED TEXTBOOKS AND TEACHER MANUALS. THERE ARE CURRENTLY 258 ORPHANED AND NEARBY COMMUNITY CHILDREN ATTENDING THIS SCHOOL. JOINING HEARTS AND HANDS, LTD PROVIDED NEW GOVERNMENTAL REQUIRED TEXTBOOKS AND TEACHER MANUALS FOR GRADES 1-5 FOR THE FOLLOWING SUBJECT AREAS: MATH, ENGLISH, KISWAHILI, HOME SCIENCE, HYGIENE AND ARTS, ENVIRONMENT, CREATIVE ARTS, PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND MUSIC. AS SOME COVID RESTRICTIONS SUBSIDED DURING 2021, JOINING HEARTS AND HANDS, LTD. RESTORED STUDENT LATRINES AT MANG'ULIRO PRIMARY SCHOOL IN WESTERN KENYA. 225 STUDENTS FROM KENYA AND TANZANIA WERE AWARDED PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL TUITION AND SCHOOL FEE SCHOLARSHIPS. EACH OF THESE STUDENTS LIVED IN IMPOVERISHED RURAL CONDITIONS, MANY OF THEM ORPHANS WITH STRONG ACADEMIC PROMISE AND LITTLE FINANCIAL RESOURCES. ALL STUDENTS RESUMED CLASSES IN JANUARY 2021. FOR THE PAST 16 YEARS JOINING HEARTS AND HANDS HAS DEVELOPED PARTNERSHIPS AND COLLABORATED WITH LOCAL SCHOOL COMMUNITIES TO PROVIDE GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT FOR THESE VULNERABLE STUDENTS.
