RESPITE CARE: THE RESPITE CARE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO ASSIST FAMILIES WITH CONTINUOUS CARETAKING NEEDS OF A LOVED ONE WHO HAS AN INTELLECTUAL OR DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY BY PROVIDING A TEMPORARY BREAK FROM THEIR 24/7 CAREGIVING RESPONSIBILITIES THROUGH RESPITE CARE. TRAINED WORKERS OFFER FAMILIES A BREAK WHILE KNOWING THEIR LOVED ONE IS WELL CARED FOR.
EDGE: THE EMPLOYMENT, DEVELOPMENT, GUIDANCE, AND ENGAGEMENT (EDGE) PROGRAM IS FUNDED BY THE NJ COMMISSION FOR THE BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED. EDGE ASSISTS BLIND AND VISION IMPAIRED HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS, SELF-ADVOCACY AND EMPLOYMENT RELATED SKILLS IN PREPARATION FOR POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION AND COMPETITIVE EMPLOYMENT.
