THE OPERATION KIDS PROGRAM IS A MULTI-FACETED CHILD SAFETY NPDF LAW ENFORCEMENT INITIATIVE THAT (1)DISTRIBUTES FINGERPRINT KITS TO PARENTS, SCHOOLS, POLICE DEPARTMENTS, AND NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS (2) POSTS PERIODIC REWARDS FOR THE SAFE RECOVERY OF MISSING CHILDREN (3) FUNDS YOUTH ATHLETIC EVENTS (4) PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISSTANCE TO CHILDREN WHO ARE CRIME VICTIMS (5) DISTRIBUTES SCHOLARSHIPS TO COLLEGE STUDENTS AND (6) ARRANGES LIFESAVING OPERATIONS AND MEDICAL TREATMENT FOR CRITICALLY ILL CHILDREN.
THE SAFE COP PROGRAM IS A LAW ENFORCEMENT INITIATIVE THAT POSTS A $10,000 REWARD FOR PUBLIC INFORMATION LEADING TO THE ARREST AND CONVICTION OF ANY PERSON WHO SHOOTS AT A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. THIS PROGRAM ALSO PROVIDES CRITICAL MEDICAL CARE, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND DEATH BENEFITS TO LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL EITHER SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY.
